Join the Law Enforcement Torch Run Final Leg on June 4-5, 2008

Special Olympics Wisconsin supporters will carry the "Flame of Hope" from all corners of the state to light the cauldren at the State Summer Games during the Law Enforcement Torch Run Final Leg this June.

Filling the Dream

Third annual Mega Express Filling the Dream benefiting Indianhead Area Special Olympics took place on Saturday, April 19 at Mega Express 10 gas stations in Eau Claire, Lake Hallie, and Altoona. The 8 hour event raised over $13,000. Those participating were members of Eau Claire PD and Sheriff’s Dept, Chippewa Falls PD, Altoona PD, Lake Hallie PD, UWEC campus police, parents of SO athletes, local SO athletes and their agencies, Ski Sprites, Bluegold Women’s Basketball team of UWEC, Criminal justice students from CVTC, college organizations: BUS, SCEC, AMA, KDP, and North High National Honor Society.

The Du Run Run - a duathlon for kids!

The Du Run Run is a fun event where kids run, then bike, then run again to compete against kids their own age. Registration is $15 and each participant gets a t-shirt. Also, kids can raise more in pledges and receive cool prizes. All money raised in the event will benefit Special Olympics Wisconsin athletes.

Du Run Runs will take place all over Wisconsin starting with one in Menomonee on May 17 and one in Appleton on June 14. Several other events will be held this fall. For more information or to register online, visit http://www.specialolympicswisconsin.org.
