Change your donor information for telemarketing, direct mail and other gifts

To change your donor information, please include your full name and address and choose one of the following options to make your request:

To change your address, please provide both the old and new address in your correspondence.

Postal Address Policy

If you supply us with your postal address, you may receive periodic mailings from us with information on upcoming events, volunteer opportunities, requests for financial support, or new products or services. Special Olympics may share, rent or exchange donor names and postal addresses with third parties. If you do not wish to receive mailings, contact info@specialolympicswisconsin.org.

Email Address Policy

Such data, including email addresses, may be shared with our International Special Olympics office for the above named purposes. website visitor information is used for internal Special Olympics purposes only and will not be sold to third parties. email addresses of visitors and donors are never sold or exchanged.

Email Opt-Out Policies

If you would like to discontinue receiving Special Olympics Wisconsin email newsletters and promotional emails, send an email to info@specialolympicswisconsin.org with the word "unsubscribe" in the subject line.

Polar Plunge Email Policies

If you have registered online for the Polar Plunge, we will send plunge-related information to your email address that you provided during registration. You can unsubscribe from this list at any time. You can also opt-in to receive our general email newsletter. Polar Plunge participants are not automatically added to this list.

Event Online Donors

Event online donors are not solicited or added to our email lists unless they are connected to the organization in another way or if they request to be added to the general email newsletter list during the donation process. Examples of events include Polar Plunge, Over the Edge, Du Run Run, Law Enforcement Torch Run, Truck Convoy

Online donations / Credit card security

We care about the safety of your credit card transaction: secure server technology is used throughout the online donation process. We use high-grade encryption software and the https security protocol to communicate with your browser software. As a result, it is extremely difficult for anyone to intercept the credit card information you send to us. Donations for events such as the Polar Plunge are are secured through Authorize.net.

Contributions may also be made by calling (800) 552-1324. Or, if you'd prefer, mail us your contribution by printing the online donation form and mailing it to us at the address provided above.

Except in the limited circumstances outlined below, Special Olympics Wisconsin will never intentionally share your e-mail addresses, phone numbers or financial information.

EXCEPTIONS: Special Olympics Wisconsin reserves the right to share your personal information in certain situations:

1. Credit Card Transactions, Electronic Fund Transfers, Payments by Check or Money Order and On-line Transactions. Special Olympics Wisconsin uses third parties to provide credit card, bank, payment and information processing services. If you choose to make a donation on-line, by phone, through the mail or by other means we will share your personal information with our processing service providers. While we believe these other companies will treat your personal information responsibly, we do not own or control them and cannot guarantee your privacy.

2. Necessity. If we have reason to believe that there has been some inappropriate interference with or use of our website, communications, or charitable services, or if we have reason to believe that one of the Special Olympics website users, donors, employees or other related parties may have been injured or may have harmed some other party, we will disclose, without notice to you, personal information as we deem appropriate or if compelled by a legal or regulatory authority.
