DESCRIPTION:WINTER GAMES UPDATE – 1/30/24\nDue to inadequate trail conditions\, Special Olympics Wisconsin has made the difficult decision to cancel all competition at Nine Mile Forest (Cross Country Skiing and Snowshoe) for the 2024 Winter Games. \nAll events scheduled for Saturday evening are also cancelled. \nAs of now\, all competition at Granite Peak (Alpine Skiing & Snowboarding) will proceed as planned. \n\nJoin us at Winter Games\, held Saturday-Sunday\, February 10-11\, 2024 in Wausau. Winter Games will bring over 140 athletes and 70 coaches to Granite Peak at Rib Mountain State Park and Nine Mile Forest to compete in a host of winter sports\, including alpine skiing\, snowboarding\, cross country skiing\, and snowshoeing. \nImportant Dates: \n\nMedical Deadline: January 1\, 2024\nEntry Deadline: Monday\, January 22\, 2024\nScratch Deadline: Friday\, January 26\, 2024\nEvent Date: February 10-11\, 2024\n\nThanks for being a fan of Special Olympics Wisconsin!
