Participants will explore the Fit5 Curriculum (hydration\, nutrition\, physical activity\, and strong minds)\, practice leadership skills\, and gain tools to inspire healthy habits in others. \nAthlete Health Messenger Description: A Health Messenger is a Special Olympics athlete or unified partner who has been trained to serve as a health and wellness leader\, educator\, advocate and role model within their Special Olympics communities and the community at large. The Athlete Health Messenger workshop focuses on the Fit5 Curriculum (hydration\, nutrition and physical activity)\, and strong minds. \nFitness Captains Description: A Fitness Captain is an athlete leadership role on a sports team to lead the team in warm-ups and cool downs as well as provide fitness and health tips. DESCRIPTION:Fit Feet screens the medical wellness of athlete’s feet.  Education on foot and nail care will be provided by podiatrists and podiatry students.  Socks in a variety of men’s and woman’s sizes will be given away to athletes that attend Fit Feet (provided their size is in stock) and no tie shoelaces (while supplies last).  We also have orthotics available for those athletes in need.
