DESCRIPTION:Special Smiles® (funding provided by Delta Dental of Wisconsin Foundation) performs dental screenings to increase awareness of oral health.  At the screening\, dentists and hygienists identify oral problems\, and athletes are provided with hygiene education as well as a “goody-bag” with dental care items and\, if appropriate for the sport the athlete participates in\, a free fitted mouth guard!  Athletes can receive a fluoride varnish application!

DESCRIPTION:Special Olympics Wisconsin (SOWI) and Special Olympics Nebraska (SONE) have partnered with our respective USL1 clubs\, Madison Forward FC and Union Omaha for a home-and-away unified team series during the 2024 season. SOWI and SONE have each created unified soccer teams\, consisting of individuals with and without intellectual disabilities\, to compete against each other in partnership with their local professional clubs. \nThe unified matches will consist of two 20-minute halves and a 10-minute halftime played on the pitch surrounding the professional USL1 game. \nThis is the second of two matches in the unique series against the Union Omaha Unified Soccer Team this summer. \nTickets can be purchased online from Union Omaha. \n

DESCRIPTION:Special Olympics Wisconsin (SOWI) and Special Olympics Nebraska (SONE) have partnered with our respective USL1 clubs\, Madison Forward FC and Union Omaha for a home-and-away unified soccer series during the 2024 season. SOWI and SONE have each created unified soccer teams\, consisting of individuals with and without intellectual disabilities\, to compete against each other in partnership with their local professional clubs. \nThe unified matches will consist of two 20-minute halves and a 10-minute halftime played on the pitch surrounding the professional USL1 game. \nThis is the first of two matches in the unique series against the Union Omaha Unified Soccer Team this summer. \nTickets to the FMFC v. DESCRIPTION:Opening Eyes (sponsored by Lions Club International Foundation) preforms vision evaluations and dispenses free glasses & sport goggles to those athletes who are in need. For athletes that do not need prescription glasses\, they receive a pair of designer sunglasses. Coaches or caregivers/family members can sign-up for a designated time to bring athletes through Opening Eyes. By signing up ahead of time your athlete will get check-in preference over walk-ins.
