DESCRIPTION:‘Packers Give Back Game’ will honor Special Olympics Wisconsin to celebrate its 50-year history of creating inclusive communities through sports.  \nLambeau Field is set to welcome fans for the August 19 preseason matchup between the Green Bay Packers and New Orleans Saints. Kickoff is at 7 p.m. The game is the second annual “Packers Give Back Game” which supports a benefiting charity from Wisconsin during the preseason each year. Friday’s game will recognize Special Olympics Wisconsin as the event’s nonprofit honoree. \nHundreds of Special Olympics Wisconsin athletes\, coaches\, families\, volunteers\, and staff will be welcomed to the Frozen Tundra and recognized as SOWI celebrates its 50th anniversary. Guests will receive a free bus ride to the game\, as well as food and beverage cards to use while enjoying the game at Lambeau Field. \nPrior to kickoff\, several athletes will take the field with a Special Olympics torch and fans throughout the stadium will be invited to join them in reciting the Athlete Oath: “Let me win. But if I cannot win\, let me be brave in the attempt.” At halftime\, Special Olympics Unified Flag Football Teams will take part in a scrimmage on Lambeau Field. \nThe Green Bay Packers Give Back Game is a component of the OUR TEAM partnership\, a first-of-its-kind initiative announced April 2022 between Special Olympics Wisconsin\, the Green Bay Packers\, Milwaukee Bucks\, Milwaukee Brewers and Milwaukee Admirals. OUR TEAM’s goal is to celebrate athletes of all abilities across Wisconsin and engage fans\, players\, partners and media to promote inclusion.
