The Automobile Dealers Association of Metro Milwaukee (ADAMM) welcomed Special Olympics Wisconsin as an event partner at its annual Auto Show Gala at the Wisconsin Center in Milwaukee this February. The event, tabbed “Let It Ride: An Evening of Gambling and Glamor,” featured SOWI athletes, coaches, and staff who sold golden ticket playing cards, hosted various auctions and raffles, and shared their own personal stories alongside supportive ADAMM associates throughout the evening.
The combined efforts of ADAMM and SOWI raised a total of $88,899—with proceeds directly benefiting Special Olympics Wisconsin programming.
“This was an amazing evening for Special Olympics Wisconsin,” said SOWI Interim President & CEO, Don Wigington. “Not only will the funds raised at this incredible gala make a major impact in our sports, health, unified, and athlete leadership programming, this event continues to spread inclusion throughout our communities.”
Twelve Milwaukee-area auto dealers also contributed vehicles to the evening’s cause:
- Andrew Chevrolet (Milwaukee)
- Andrew Toyota (Milwaukee)
- David Hobbs Honda (Glendale)
- Griffin Chevrolet (Milwaukee)
- Griffin Ford (Waukesha)
- Griffin Ford Lincoln (Fort Atkinson)
- Griffin’s Hub Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram (Milwaukee)
- Holz Chevrolet (Hales Corners)
- Rosen Hyundai (Greenfield)
- Rosen Nissan (Milwaukee)
- Uptown Lincoln Ford (Milwaukee)
- Uptown Motors (Slinger)
Those automobiles were auctioned off prior to the evening festivities, and raised $20,075 alone.
Complementing the vehicle auction and ticket and table sales, a pair of auctions featured donated items from hundreds of community groups, businesses, and organizations.
The Automobile Dealers Association of Metro Milwaukee (ADAMM) is a trade association representing new car franchised dealers in Southeast Wisconsin. This was the third year Special Olympics Wisconsin was the charitable partner for the Auto Show Gala.
