Special Olympics Wisconsin is joining forces with Jersey Mike’s Subs locations in Wisconsin for the 14th Annual March “Month of Giving” campaign to support local charities. During the month of March, customers will have the option to round up their purchase to the nearest dollar or donate $1, $3, or $5 when placing their order.
The Month of Giving campaign will culminate with Jersey Mike’s “Day of Giving” on Wednesday, March 27, when local Jersey Mike’s restaurants will give 100 percent of the day’s sales – not just profit – to Special Olympics Wisconsin.
“This is an exciting opportunity to make a substantial impact on the lives of our incredible athletes”, said Chad Hershner, President and CEO of Special Olympics. “I invite everyone in the Special Olympics Wisconsin family to join us at Jersey Mike’s on March 27 and share the word among your friends and families.”
Special Olympics Wisconsin athletes will be visiting all 41 Wisconsin locations throughout the month to meet Jersey Mike’s employees and share their Special Olympics stories.
Every purchase on March 27 will directly support Special Olympics Wisconsin athletes and programs, and Hershner is encouraging all local programs across the state to support this initiative
“Our local Programs are the lifeblood of Special Olympics Wisconsin and together we can make a significant impact on the lives of our athletes,” said Hershner. “I want to thank everyone in advance for your support of Special Olympics Wisconsin and this is an easy – and delicious – way to do it.”
