To friends of Special Olympics Wisconsin,
I am both blessed and honored to have the opportunity to serve the Special Olympics program in Wisconsin. I’m reminded of this each and every day when I go to work. It is hard to put into words the deep commitment and dedication that the Special Olympics Staff has as they serve athletes, coaches, parents and volunteers each and every day of the year. They are a modest bunch so let me put a big star at the top of each of their Christmas trees this year!
The Holiday season usually brings out the best in all of us. We seem to be a little kinder, more patient, joyful and genuinely excited. A chance to see family and friends, hang out with the kids and grandkids, freeze your tail off playing broomball on the lake, snow showing and cross country skiing. And I know in our home it is making homemade potato raviolis and meatballs. This year we’ll be using some of the tomato sauce we canned this fall. What’s not to like!?
No matter what your plans for the season are I hope it is joyous!
Thanks for all you do for the athletes we serve.
In the Spirit of Special Olympics,
Dennis Alldridge, President & CEO, Special Olympics Wisconsin
