On Saturday, May 21st, West High School Peer Partners and  the Project Unify club hosted the “Kickin’ for Inclusion” kickball tournament with a partnership from Special Olympics and MSCR. Youth with intellectual disabilities played alongside their peers from West High School along with other schools from the Madison area and Columbus High School.

“What a great weekend it was for West High School Peer Partners! There was music, dancing, a grill out, lots of smiles and laughter, and the kickball tournament!”, stated Laura Glaub, MSCR Recreation Specialist.

Special Olympics Project UNIFY® is an education and sports based strategy powered by an engaged youth community that increases athletic and leadership opportunities for students with and without intellectual disabilities, while creating communities of acceptance for all.
