The Wisconsin Philharmonic will present “Olympian Classics” on Sunday, October 9, as part of its 2016-2017 Classical Journey concert season.
In a nod to the 2016 Summer Olympics, Milwaukee native Michael Torke’s high soaring Javelin kicks off the Wisconsin Philharmonic’s 69th season. A grand Rachmaninoff piano concerto follows, along with Tchaikovsky’s Fourth Symphony! The performance will feature Simon Mulligan, piano. Soloist Sponsors: Don & Carol Taylor. Special Olympics Wisconsin has been selected as the nonprofit partner for this performance.
