Madison, WI – Executive leaders from FOX Sports Wisconsin, the Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Brewers, Milwaukee Bucks and Milwaukee Admirals will plunge into icy waters on February 26 at the Milwaukee County Zoo to demonstrate their support for the athletes of Special Olympics Wisconsin.
The Pro Sports Plunge Team will include Mike Dimond, Senior Vice President and General Manager of FOX Sports Wisconsin; Paul Baniel, Vice President of Finance & Administration for the Green Bay Packers; Peter Feigin, President of the Milwaukee Bucks; Bob Quinn, Chief Financial Officer of the Milwaukee Brewers; and Jon Greenberg, President of the Milwaukee Admirals.
“We’re proud of the professional sports community’s unified support of Special Olympics Wisconsin athletes throughout the state,” said Mike Dimond, Senior Vice President and General Manager of FOX Sports Wisconsin. “Sports have a unique ability to bring people together and Special Olympics fosters that unity by breaking down stereotypes. FOX Sports Wisconsin is honored to serve as the media partner for the inaugural Pro Sports Plunge.”
Sports fans can support their favorite team while championing the more than 10,000 athletes of Special Olympics Wisconsin by donating to the Pro Sports Plunge. For as little as $50, a donation would provide a uniform for an athlete. A $100 donation would provide one anti-bullying campaign at a local school, and a $250 donation would give one athlete a free vision assessment and prescription glasses. Donate now at PlungeWI.org.
“Special Olympics Wisconsin is grateful to FOX Sports Wisconsin, the Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Bucks, Milwaukee Brewers and Milwaukee Admirals for partnering with us and taking the plunge,” said Kathleen Roach, President & CEO of Special Olympics Wisconsin. “I’m hopeful that we can make the Pro Sports Plunge a winter tradition like Special Olympics Wisconsin’s Polar Plunges across the state.”
